Process for Submitting Continuing Professional Development Claims Online
|
|
Access your online account at www.cps.ca.gov by clicking the “My Account” link in the top right corner of the website.
- Enter your username and password. If you have forgotten your username and/or password, click on the corresponding links to retrieve this information.
- Once you have gained access to your online account, it is recommended that you verify that your “Account Information” is up to date. To begin submitting
continuing education claims, click the “Candidate Summary” link.
- From the “Candidate Summary” screen, click the link for “Continuing Education” at the top of the screen. From the drop down menu, select the program
that you intend to submit continuing education claims for (e.g. Certified Animal Welfare Administrators (CAWA) – 2006 Recertification).
- Once you have selected the appropriate program, you may begin submitting claims. Be sure to complete one claim for each course attended. If you attended a conference or
seminar, you must enter each session attended at the conference/seminar separately. Bulk conference submissions will not be accepted for credit.

points per whole day. The system will not calculate the amount of units (points) automatically. Be sure to enter the amount of units (points) you are claiming in the
“Number of Units” field.
