Who is CPS?
A.
CPS Human Resource Services is an independent, self-supporting government agency that provides recruitment, examination, testing, assessment, staffing, and HR services to public agencies. CPS’s mission is to improve public sector human resource management. We understand government and how to support effective government systems and processes. CPS has more than 1,900 federal, state and local government clients across the U.S. and Canada, develops and distributes more than 198,000 employment tests per year, and administers 160,000 tests per year in 1,300 locations across the country.
CPS provides a variety of assessment instruments and approaches for the public sector in occupations such as law enforcement, fire service, office and clerical, professional and paraprofessional, and service and maintenance. CPS also provides test development and administration services to several dozen national and state licensing and certification programs.
